Contende was a success on many levels. Capturing the spirit of the College, an historical account of our Marist origins in Hunters Hill, Celebrating our family connections and of course sharing recipes. It was a story of connections and belonging. With its beautifully presented linen bound cover, copies of Contende can be found in homes across Sydney, country New South Wales, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, New York, London and Enderbih. Showing us our stories touched many and our love of cooking for our families is one shared the world over. We took delivery of 4000 copies of Contende in February 2010 and sold out by November. Contende was the columniation of many shared ideas, wisdom and unwavering support from the Joeys community. With 90 original ‘angels’ and then over 70 ‘selling angels’, it was truly a community building success. |
